A: Everyone! Young people ages 3-18 may take advantage of our classes and workshops. Young people ages 8-18 may auditions for shows. But everyone will enjoy the energy and excitement of our performances and special events! See our shows and classes pages for more info.   Q: Do I have to live in Columbus to take advantage of these programs? A: No. The programs are not just for residents of the City of Columbus. Many young people from Grandview, Bexley, Gahanna, New Albany, Dublin and beyond take advantage of the terrific shows and classes at the Davis.   Q: Why take classes at the Davis? A: Our classes are taught by local professional artists who will help lead your child through the magic of the performing arts. Classes can give kids experience getting up on stage in a low pressure environment. At the same time kids build confidence and gain skills all while meeting new friends from all over the city. And thanks to our association with the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department we are able to keep fees for our classes very low. Compare our prices to other local performing arts entities and see for your self. Classes are always changing so your child will always have new, exciting opportunities to learn and to play!   Q: Where do I park for classes? A: After 5:30 pm on week days and all day on Saturday and Sunday Davis patrons have permission to park in the lot across the street from the Theatre (across Franklin Ave) thanks to the generosity of Motorists Insurance Group. During the day patrons may park on the street for up to two hours. Parking directly next to the building on the west side is prohibited. Parking is free!   Q: How much do classes cost? A: Classes do have small fees attached to them to cover the cost of our professional instructors and materials. Most classes during the school year cost between $25 and $35. Some are even free. Week long summer camps cost around $110. It is free to participate in the shows here (though students must audition to be cast).
